How BetValue AI Works
BetValue AI is an analytics and information tool for sports odds. We do not place bets, we are not a bookmaker, and nothing here guarantees any outcome. Below is the actual pipeline behind every value estimate the app shows.
1. Bookmaker market consensus
We start by collecting odds for the same match and market from multiple bookmakers. Comparing several independent prices for the same outcome, rather than relying on any single bookmaker, gives a more reliable read on where the market as a whole prices the outcome.
2. From consensus to a probability baseline
Each bookmaker's odds are converted to implied probabilities, and the margin built into each price (the bookmaker's overround) is removed. That produces a de-vigged, no-vig baseline probability for every outcome — a reflection of the market's collective pricing, before any AI adjustment.
3. Bounded AI analysis
An AI model reviews publicly available context for the fixture and may adjust the baseline probability up or down. That adjustment is deliberately bounded — the model can nudge the market-consensus baseline, but cannot override it wholesale. We do not publish the exact caps or the underlying prompts: doing so would make the system easier to game without making the estimates any more useful to you.
4. Fair odds
The resulting probability — market consensus, adjusted within its bounds — is converted back into "fair odds": the price that outcome would carry with no bookmaker margin attached. This fair-odds figure is the benchmark every real bookmaker price gets compared against.
5. Expected value (EV) comparison
We compare fair odds against the best available real bookmaker price for the same outcome. If a bookmaker's price is better than fair odds, backing it has positive expected value (EV); if it's worse, EV is negative. The full math behind this is on our Value Betting page.
6. Value classification
Estimates are grouped into simple bands (for example: value, small edge, no value) purely to make the EV figure easier to scan at a glance. The classification is a label on the same underlying number — it is not a separate signal or a recommendation to bet.
7. Performance tracking
Every recommendation our automated scanner flags is recorded, and its real-world result is tracked once the event finishes. That history is published for transparency. It describes historical performance only — it is not a promise of future results, and past performance never guarantees future performance.
What BetValue AI is — and is not
BetValue AI is an informational sports analytics service. We are not a bookmaker, betting exchange, or gambling operator; we never accept, place, or facilitate any bet, and never handle stakes or winnings. Every probability shown is an estimate, not a certainty — a positive-EV signal does not guarantee a winning bet.
You must be 18 or older to use this service, and should always gamble responsibly, only with licensed, regulated bookmakers in your jurisdiction. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for full details.
